PREVENTION 101
Everyday we respond to emergencies in our community that could have been avoided with a periodic inspection of the septic system. Decades of neglect will lead to tremendous problems, both inside and outside of the home. We emphasize homeowner education and practical solutions that will help you make the most informed decisions possible about your septic system's care.

Protect your family and the investment you've made by letting a trusted septic professional help.
ROOT INFESTATIONS
Roots can penetrate the septic pipes and grow until they overcome the septic tank. We encounter root infestations at the majority of emergencies we respond to because our region is home to so many tall trees and other vegetation. Once roots have made their intrusion, most parts will need to be replaced and sealed to stop them from coming back.
DRAIN FIELDS
Over time, the drain field becomes clogged with sludge, grease, roots, and bio-mat, which can lead to catastrophic problems in the house and in the yard. We use proprietary methods to extend the lifespan of the drain field, but when it is beyond the point of rehabilitation, we can help replace it with the most modern and efficient systems.
DON'T SKIP THE INSPECTION
Don't skip the Septic Inspection when buying a home! We find wacky conditions at homes of all ages; we regularly find septic tanks under decks, patios, garages, additions, utility lines, etc. Moving your family into a new home with a failing septic system can be catastrophic - but it's more difficult and more expensive to fix when the failing components are harder to reach!

That's why we provide a thorough inspection and an accurate diagnosis at a competitive price, prior to your closing.
DISINTEGRATED CONCRETE
Concrete septic tanks eventually succumb to the forces that are working against them. We find tanks in this stage of failure all the time - so disintegrated that there is nothing left holding them together. And when there is nothing preventing a total collapse, this becomes a dangerous situation.
LOW SPOTS
A conventional septic system relies on gravity to function, which means there must be downhill fall from the plumbing in the house all the way to the drain field. When pipes become bent, warped, or damaged, waste will continuously collect in the lowest spot, ultimately making the pipe worse.
DECKS & OTHER STRUCTURES
Decks, porches, patios, and sidewalks put lots of pressure on the septic system, often resulting in bent or broken parts. These structures can also restrict access to the septic system, futher complicating the situation. Typically we can work with your homeowners insurance to ensure some or all of the project costs are covered.

To avoid building a structure over your septic system, your county's environmental health agency may have a map of it on file.
